Notebook

Please write your name on the notebook in the pool shed, so I can contact you if I need to, eg if someone has left some goggles behind.

Temperature

We try to keep the pool at 80F. If the weather has been cold or the pool has been in uncovered a lot because it has been in use, the temperature might drop a few degrees, but, even then, it is usually above 76F.

When you arrive

Please don't worry about telling us that you are here.  Just turn up and enjoy the pool.  Please don't worry about children shouting, but please don't play music.

There are a couple of fragile items that need a bit of extra care, so please could they be operated by adults:

  • If the small blue pump is on the cover, please remove it by gently pulling the black electric cable, rather than the hose. If the hose is tugged, it often breaks off the pump. If it breaks off, we can fix it, but it's better not to fix it too often.

  • Please turn the key to open/close the cover just until the cover is opened/closed. Sometimes, children become distracted and don't realise that they should stop turning the key and this places extra pressure on the mechanism.

Whilst you are here

If the kitchen or back door is open, please use the loo, make drinks, etc. Please feel free to use the electric pump in the pool shed for inflatables.

If the key for the pool cover is not in the control on the RHS of the pool shed, it is under a brick just beneath the control.

The chairs dry out in the heat and we don't always notice when they become brittle. They should be okay, but please check them before you use them.

When you leave

If you are the last to leave, please lock the pool shed and close the pool cover. Please leave the key for the cover under a brick beneath the cover control pad. Please don't put the blue pump back on the cover.
